The Student Housing Information Centre (CIVE) offers help to students at the University of Oviedo who are looking for a flat to rent. The CIVE, which depends on the Vice-rectorate for Students, is a totally free service with a wide range of flats.
Likewise, this centre also offers, free of charge, a portfolio of more than 1,100 queries per year to property owners who wish to rent a flat.
The CIVE advises students, before making any payment or signing any document, to personally check the state of the property and verify that it has everything they need to cover their needs.
The centre also reminds students that it is important to formalise a rental contract. Finally, it is advisable not to rush and to study several offers before deciding on one, even opting for temporary accommodation, until they find the flat that best suits their needs.
