The University of Oviedo Library (BUO) is the unit responsible for the location, maintenance and validation of scientific production data (articles, books, doctoral theses) and maintains the institutional repository of the University of Oviedo.
It groups together the Central Library and 14 libraries that are distributed throughout the different campuses of the university, with a collection of more than 850,000 books, 14,000 titles of scientific journals and several thousand copies of other documents, such as microfilms, videos, scores, maps...
The library is responsible for facilitating access to the information necessary for the development of research, as well as contributing to the carrying out of teaching activities and encouraging the practice of study in the university community.
The library's digital collection comprises more than 60,000 electronic resources including books, journals, databases, electronic platforms, and library portals. The catalogue containing all these publications can be consulted from any computer connected to the University of Oviedo network or the Internet.
